| Hard little line right under her scar where spay was... My dog was spayed about a month ago, and she has a hrd almost plastic feeling thing right under her scar??? What could it be? It really worries me that maybe sumthing was left in there, but it seems hard to believe. It feels almost like plastic and is hard. Hard to notice with the naked eye, but you can feel it with yout finger. Anyone had this experience before? At first I thought it was her vein, cuz that's what it looks like, but it's definitely not that. Maybe inside stitches??? Doesn't seem to bother her though... |

| It is suture. It can take 6 months or longer for it to go away completely.

| My baby has the same thing. Her surgery was in June and I took her back to the vet because I was worried about it. He said it was just the inside stitches and could take several mos to go away. I can still feel them, but they do seem to be getting smaller.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Same thing happened to Cali after her spay and it lasted for months. I took her in and it was just the inside stitches.

| My vet said it really depends on the dog and how their body works. He has seen it take up to a year for them to go away.
