| Testicles At What Age? My Yorkie is 13 weeks on Sun 9/7 and he's starting to get little testies showing, is this normal? I thought it's super early, but this is my first yorkie. He started lifting his leg at 10-11 weeks but he only does it once in a while, he's still squatting 90% of the time. He's taken to peeing on his toys too. If his testies are showing already and my vet wants to wait until he's 6 months to neuter, does that mean he'll probably already be have fully formed testicles by then? Thanks, Victoria |

| 6 months is a good age to neuter. and you want the testicles to drop down because that is what they should be doing and the surgery is much easier if they drop . otherwise the vet needs to go find them. sometimes only one will drop. this is very normal and he sounds like he is doing just fine. |

| Both of Oscar's testicles had dropped by the time he was 12 weeks, so don't worry. As one of the OP's said, it makes the neutering surgery a lot less complicated. He's four months now and occasionally lifts a leg too. If you get him neutered at 6 months you have a pretty good shot of stopping the male marking behavior before it becomes habit. Completely unrelated ... I lived in Oregon for 6 years and really miss it! The PNW is so beautiful.
