| crying at night This is the first time I have posted. Molly is a year this month. For the past week and a half she has woken in the night crying. She hasn't done this since she was first home as a pup. She sleeps in the living room. I thought that maybe it was because she was cold, but I now know that this isn't the case. Nothing else is changed so I can't figure out what it is. I am so tired now as it is happening a couple times in the night now. But, I am worried too. Any words of wisdom?::animal |

| Welcome to YT!! Sorry to hear that your baby is crying. Is she in heat? Have you had her spayed? Maybe it is her incision?? Maybe she is just getting loney at night. Can you put her crate in the bedroom with you? Maybe she is just older now and wants to be with you at all times. I have a parade of 5 wherever i go in the house so maybe she just wants to be where you are more. If you are responding to her when she cried, that may have reinforced the behavior too. Good luck!! |

| I'm so sorry, that your poor baby is upset at night. I'm not sure what it could be. Maybe, Molly just wants to climb up in bed with you. It seems like she may just want to be with you at night. Hoping everything turns out ok~

| I would bring her in the bedroom and let her sleep next to you. See if that solves the problem. Mine sleep in the bed with us, otherwise they both carry on and no one gets any sleep. (Yes, they are spoiled, but that's OK). As long as I know they're happy, then I'm happy too. And welcome to Yorkie Talk!

| Thank you! Thank you for your helpful advice. I considered maybe she was heading into heat again. (this would be her second) The other one I considered is that she is lonely because the night time is the only time we are apart. She goes EVERYWHERE with me and is very quiet and well behaved. As for sleeping in the bed. I tried that about 4 months ago but she kept wetting the bed. (the far end - but still in the bed). She is perfectly potty trained in all other areas! |

| Does your yorkie have trouble getting up and down from your bed to go to the bathroom? When we first got Pepper she couldn't so we made her a little step using an up-side-down laundry basket with a blanket over it. We haven't moved it since and she does fine with the bathroom at night. Also she may hear noises at night and get scared. That happens to us but Pepper just goes around the whole house grumbling and barking trying to find it. |
