Hot Spots My little baby has a couple of hot spots around his right eye (likely due to fleas he had). I went to pick up some tea tree oil ointment from the pet store today. Does this usually work, and how long will it take to get rid of them? It is driving him crazy . Thank you!

I've used a hot spot spray from the pet store that had tea tree oil and chammomile in it. I've also used gentimicin spray from the vet's office. I would be concerned about using either one around the eyes though for fear some could get in the eye. I would probably use an opthamalic grade antibacterial ointment around the eyes just to be safe.

Thanks! The tea tree oil is already seeming to work a little. He's still obviously irritated by the hot spots, but it seems to be going away some. I made a vet appt for monday just in case.
