| Tap Water I've never been able to drink water out of the tap before. Growing up we always had wells (wow I just realized I don't know if a water well is spell the same as well.... I'm sure I know I'm just having a moment), and I've always been a bottled water girl, and can tell a taste difference between different bottled water. Anyways, we recently moved and we live on a boarding school campus and the water out of the tap here is very drinkable. I drink it and I'm a water drinker, it has a very pure taste. Is this okay to give to our yorkie (we bring him home tomorrow!!!) or do you guys give your dog water from the store? |

| Even though my tap water tastes ok, I give Oscar filtered water just in case. Without having the water analyzed it would be hard to know what is really in it. I have a filter that attaches to my tap, and a pitcher filter that I keep in the fridge. (Both by Brita, I think). I prefer the filters to bottles for environmental reasons. I also read an article that claimed that bottled water is actually pretty unhealthy due to its natural erosive properties ... according to the author, it microscopically breaks down the inside of the water bottle and we end up drinking dissolved plastic. Congrats on your new baby and welcome to YT!!! The puppy stage is a ton of work, but really special too. Post pictures when you get a chance. |

| I have a water cooler at home. I give Suzi water from there too. The tap water where i live is not good though. It even has a funny taste to it. but, if your tap wateris good, then by all means, have your new baby drink that too. Congradulations in getting a new baby .

| I give my guy water from a cooler also, but its easy to have your water analyzed and if they say its healthy than why not, if you can drink it so should he. Good luck, the baby stages go by so fast enjoy it. |

My Little Man! Donating Member | After hearing that bottled water is not good for you as it might cause cancer if it is left where the sun can reach it, I switched to tap water. I use Brita filter and I give the same water to my furkid. Congrats on getting your baby!

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Hehehe, yes, tap water is fine for dogs All of my babies get it and always have. I make sure that it is always fresh (meaning I switch out their water all the time) - and cool. They are perfectly happy with it! P.S. - to what the poster above said

| I'm a Brita girl!! I try to be as 'green' as I can and plastic water bottles seem to be bad for the environment. Dogs have drank/drunk? tap water for years and been fine, but I run it through the Brita anyway! We do love our babies don't we!! I do give them water from the hose for outside, though.
