| yorkies tooth hello i just noticed my 1 year old yorkie, the tooth next to the k9 is getting discolored..its hard to explain but its like blackish grey... but i looked at the gums and they look good, someone told me that the nerves in that tooth are dead.. is that right? |

| If the nerves are dead, it doesn't need to be removed unless it causes problems. When my youngest son was just over a year old he fell and hit his front tooth and it died and turned black. It stayed that way till it came out with he was 6 years old. So your Vet. would know if it needs to come out or not.
