How Often Do Dogs Go Into Heat? My baby is acting very odd as she usually does when she is going into heat but I am not so sure this is the issue today. I left her with my Mom on Friday, and she was well, and then I get a call yesterday she was acting odd and not eating (she is the greadiest dog on earth). When I got to her thismorning she was very numb like and her stomach was growling like a HUMAN. She is very distant as well. Should I take her to the vet or are there something I should try first?

Those do not seem like normal heat symptoms,. I would take her to the vet. she might have gotten into something. They go into heat about every 6 months give or take

i think thats what happened I asked my Mom about it and she sounds like sh eknows more than she is giving up. I just would hate taking herto thevet and they tell me something that I could have done at home. My boyfriend says she is laying out by the window but has yet to eat, if its still bad by the time I go to lunch I will have to take her I can't even look into her eyes knowing she isn't well.
