Taste of the Wild dogfood Awesome stuff!! Was on Wellness Super 5 for past 2 years, NOT having a problem with Wellness whatsoever, but seen Taste of the Wild on the shelf last time we needed food. Read ingredients and noticed NO GRAINS whatsoever. Our female has slight allergy to corn for sure, and Wellness has 5-6 grains, just not corn. Taste of the Wild is meat, veggies/fruits, minerals/vitamins. We bought the Bison/Venison version as well as the Wetlands Game Bird/Roasted Wild Fowl. Our 2 adults are now eating less but maintaining weight. The female has even gained 1/2 lb. Less tearing from the male also. The 3 male pups born April 21 have taken well to it also, are very healthy and energetic. Nice having 1 food for both ages!

where to find I'm not sure where you live but you can find it at alot of the non chain pet stores, it is also available online from petfooddirect.com. I have not tried it myself however my best friend feeds his cats their food and their coat has become noticably shinier and they almost never get hairballs now, before this food they had them pretty much daily. Good luck and let us know how it works out after you try it out.

We get ours at a local feed n seed store. Maybe check your more non-traditional animal food stores local to you, such as a farmers supply. garden supply, and such.

Just bought a bag of the salmon TOTW and looked it up on dog food analysis - it says this "We do note the inclusion of a fish meal ingredient, but have been unable to locate any statement on the manufacturers website guaranteeing the use of ethoxyquin-free ingredients" "Ethoxyquin is a chemical preservative, commonly added to fish meal ingredients and that is banned or heavily regulated in the human food industry due to the belief that it is carcinogenic" Is anyone concerned about this? Should I open the bag and feed it to my pups or return it and continue looking for another grain free option?

After trying all 3 flavors, I think we will stick with the Wetlands K-9. The fish formula made their hair a lil too oily, and they just didn't seem as enthused with the Bison/Venison formula.

It is also made at Diamond but I'm not sure which facility. Some people don't trust them because of their lack of quality control (like alfatoxin in some food that was made there once). Other than that, the food itself looks fine.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | We switched from Wellness fish/sweet potato..to the TOTW bison/venison too. After eliminating every possibility for Reggie's diarrehea...changing foods was the last option I could come up with. Great news...all of mine love the bison/venison and no more diarehea for Reggie!
