| Comfortis Flea Control Has anyone used Comfortis? It is a once a month tablet given orally for flea control? I am supposed to pick up some today from my vet. They have just started using this product instead of the Capstar and Frontline. I really hope to hear good things about it because I would much rather give her a pill once a month as opposed to putting on the liquid flea control. I can't stand that stuff and don't like the way she acts when I use it, which is why I don't use it very often. Comfortis.com - Home

| My Alyssa has skin allergies. We have changed food and treats. She would act really funny each month when I would use Frontlne Plus. She would scratch and whine and bite at her fur. She was even removing chunks of her fur. I stopped using anything. When we went to the vet I brought up the topic of flea protection. She suggested Comfortis and I took home one months supply to see how we liked it and how shIe responded. First off...she ate the pill like it was a treat. I did not have to hide it in cheese. It is beef flavored. We had no problems with Comfortis at all. I am now ready to go back and buy a 6 months supply. I wish all 3 of my yorkies were on the same thing. I have 2 on Sentinel and one on Comfortis. I give both Sentinel and Comfortis a double thumbs up.

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | We have just started Bella on Comfortis. I've heard great reviews. The Vet thinks Bella's problem is flea bite allergies & it can be just a few fleas. Frontline Plus wasn't doing it for her. I love that Comfortis is a pill & not the topical solution.

| Yay! I'm glad to hear good things! Thanks! I'm pretty sure I'm going to like this much better than the liquid treatment! What about for cats? I wonder if they have it available for cats? LOL like my cat would ever let me get this down her

The only draw back is the dog has to be at least 5 pounds, so our two Yorkies cannot take it, but bathing them works fine. The other dogs though are using it and the fleas are finally gone!!

I am so glad to hear good things about this! Thanks to everyone that has replied! Normally I don't have a problem with fleas in the summer, it is the fall when she will get them, and in the past I've really been able to control it by washing her in Dawn detergent. But I'm thinking since I've already seen one on her this week when I was bathing her that they may be worse this year so I wanted to get her on a preventative.
