Does anyone feed this to your Yorkie? If so , how do you and your Yorkies like it? I was looking at getting some to try with my Yorkie's. Right now I feed Merrick's Puppy Plate, but my Jeter is starting to act like he could care less for it. I was looking at the raw diets and also home cooking when I came across this food on a web site. It looks like is would be a good food to try, but I thought I would check with you all first

I tried it...my dogs won't eat it..well they did when I got the smaller travel sizes...then when I got the bigger container, they won't touch it.

Here is a post that discusses some of it:http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-dog-food.html

Thank you. I have tried to research this a bit for the past few day's but I can't find it on the Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble site to see what they had to say about it. I keep finding places that sell it though.

A lot of people love this food, LuvMySissy (Jodie) feeds this to Sissy & Angel and they love it! Mine wouldn't eat it though and I bought the big bags!! I think it had too many spices for them. You should try and get samples, I think the Force one is the most palatable when they are starting out!! Good Luck!!

We have been feeding this for over a year now and love it!!! Try the sample packs first. We use Force, Embark and Thrive.

If he doesn't eat it you add some additional veggies and/or meat to it, iand sometimes t will make a difference.

You won't find any information on this under dog food analysis for kibble as this is a freeze-dried raw food.

Thank you for your information.

I do realize that it is not a kibble food, I was hoping some information was out there on raw foods/ dehydrated foods like they have for comparing kibble, you know so I could compare them to other foods. But I can't find that kind of information. Raw feeding sounds very healthy and natural for my guy's and I really want them on good food!

Do you get a 4lb. or a 10 lb. and about how long does it last for? On their site they give a suggestion measuring for a 10 pound dog as 1/2 cup...Jeter would need less than that he is only 2pounds 8 ounces ( he is 10 1/2 months old) Axl is 11 weeks old and he is to mature to be about 5 to 6 pounds while Yumi Yasha is also 11 weeks old and she is looking to be 4 to 5 pounds. I was unsure of the amount I would have to feed them I really am thinking this is the food I want to switch to! I am excited to get the samples to try!

If you find information comparing the raw foods, please let me know as I've never seen any!!!!

I usually buy the 4 lb boxes and get two of three of them, depending on what the current special is (I usually buy direct from the website as no one around here sells the product). My girls only get this food for dinner as they get yogurt for breakfast. They each get about 1/4 c for dinner (Sissy is just under 5 lbs, Angel is just over 5 lbs). I do not usually normally mix any other food in it. I do use their Sparkle supplement (for skin & coat) and add this into the mix along with a squirt of Grizzley Salmon Oil also.

With yours still being pups, they usually eat the same or a little more than when fully grown. A 4 lb box will last us almost 2 months. I try to rotate through the different formulas (Force, Embark and Thrive). My girls are not crazy about the Verve.

We have been very happy with the product. It is very easy to use and travels extremely well. A nutrition expert confirmed that the freeze-drying process used eradicates any chance of salmonella or e-coli bacteria, while preserving all the nutrients

Hope your babies love it!!!

Thank you so much for the information! I sent for the samples of formula and I can't wait to try it on my lil ones! I also will have to order their food through the web site, I did not see a store in my area that sells this.

We love it. We usually buy about 4 ~10# boxes a year. She eats 1/4 dry cup and she gets some fresh fruit and veggie treats. Sometimes cottage cheese. HK does have recipes for toppings to make interesting and different.
My supplier said she would take it back if Bella didnt like it.
I am not sure if that her policy or just the HK policy.
They really stand behind their product.
They all eat it in the test kitchen.
I get email from them all the time. I even sent them pics of Bella with her HK
They passed the pic around the office and everyone got a kick out of it.

Mine tried it looooong ago - they liked it twice, then wouldnt touch it - I tried everything they suggested to get them to eat it and tried other flavors. Na da.

LuvMySissy and others' dogs have great success with it. I think it's a wonderful food and love their philosophy - but I do think it's really hit or miss in terms of palatability (maybe more misses than hits, it seems). But an awesome step up in terms of quality!!!!!

I feed Natures Variety Raw Medallions now (whereas HK is kind of considered freeze dried raw).

Janie616 thanks for posting the video on THK. Izzy has been on THK since June (KC meet-up) and she is thriving on it. Her coat is so shiney and is getting long. I can't say enough good things about THK and how easy it is to make. It's so worth the price and since we have little Yorkies they don't go through it as fast.

I say it's worth a shot to try and again so easy to make and I work full time. If you have hot water from the tap you can make THK.

Janie616... I agree with Izzy Princess, I have tried this (Honest Kitchen) and use it exclusively now.

My dogs love it and have benefited immensely from it. Thanks a lot for the video. Now I know the soupy effect in the beginning is right.

Oh and I also use the yogurt for them.

Yes, it is costly, but they are worth it.
