| Question about amount of raw to feed my baby Hey everyone! My baby was not eating dry food and I decided to go the raw food route. He LOVES it! I'm feeding him Stella and Chewy's 1.5 ounce patties (he's starting with lamb). He weighs 2.8 lbs, and the bag says for a 10 pound dog feed 3 patties. So I feed him 1 patty a day? Is that enough for my little guy? |

| I sent an email to Stella and Chewy's asking them how much I should be feeding Alfie. I got a response first thing this morning. Here is what she said: I’m so glad Stella & Chewy’s is a hit in your household! You’re correct in questioning the feeding guidelines for your Alfie. Since he’s a puppy, he should be eating about double what a dog his size should eat. You want to go off the fact that he’s currently (almost) 3 pounds. That, in a full grown dog, would be about 1 steak every day. I would be feeding your pup about 2 steaks a day. Keep an eye on his weight…if he seems really hungry, you can feed him a bit more. I wouldn’t go over about 3 steaks a day, though. Once he’s full grown, he’ll eat about 1.5 steaks a day. Please feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions. I'm happy they responded so quick! I started feeding him 2 yesterday split up in 3 feedings since I felt like one just wasn't enough (1/2 patty in the am, 1 whole midday, 1/2 in the pm). He loves his meal time! I'm relieved he's looking forward to his meals now. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I'm so excited that this is going so well for you! It's such a relief when you find something that works. I feed raw and just love it too (NV raw).

| I am so happy that raw is working out for your! I tried Stella and Chewy's! I preferred my dogs stools on Primal brand. How is your pup's poo? You are going to love the results on raw!

| He loves it. As for his poo, it's not bad although he never really had gross puppy poo like my roommate warned me about. His little system I am sure is still getting used to it, so all I really have to say about it is that my baby would eat the whole bag if I'd let him . Sure beats hand feeding him the dry food that he eventually would run away from! |

| LOL! Yes, its great having them not be finicky! As your pup gets more used to the raw, his stools will become firmer and smaller. Among other benefits, in a few months, the coat and everything just improves so much!
