| Put him in the bathtub, and shampoo him ,and then use a very fine comb and comb them out.. Make sure you don't have to wait a few days to bath him after the application of frontline.

| You didn't notice any fleas jumping? They are really small but I've heard that you definetely notice them jumping. I don't know but poor little one, it must be so annoying.

It not that i intentionally neglected him i just didnt see any after that first one. im combing him out with a flea comb when they get into his face. Hell be good to go tomorrow after i can give him his bath. Kristy and Mason |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | The vet has a pill that will instantly kill fleas for 24 hours - but you still need to treat the eggs they leave behind - fleas are just nasty creatures - Good luck ! |

| The same thing happened to my friend and her daschunds. She had no idea and it scares me to think that we might not be able to see them. So I definetely wasn't trying to make my post sound like you neglected him at all. I just wondered because Coco itches and I put her on white sheets and never see anything jumping. But it happens and don't feel like a bad mommy. I cut my babies ear, so if anyone is a bad mommy, it's me

| Don't feel bad at all. I use Advantix on my baby, and even after treatment I noticed a couple of fleas the other day when I was brushing him. I didn't notice before that either. It just happens sometimes. But I usually check his bum and underbelly to make sure that there is no flea dirt, so if they just got on them, you might not notice right away.

| For Goodness Sakes Please don't feel like a bad mommy,.......and don't bathe him till the vet said it was OK.........usually 48 hours.........by then the medicine will have kicked in for the adult fleas.................... In the mean time, get a flea comb (or a small tooth human comb) and gently comb out the fleas.................and the flea dander(eggs). I have found that they usually are the worst on the face and head................do one section at a time very gently. Dip the comb in soapy water (I have used a small glass), then dry off comb on a towel before combing again, dip, dry comb, again and again till no fleas visible. This should help till the frontline spray kicks in.............Good Luck!!!!!!!!!! |
