| Which is the best way to switch over to Natures variety? I will be getting my 10 week old yorkie puppy on Aug. 19th. My breeder feeds science diet puppy food to them I want to switch her over to NV but which one is best for puppies and is easiest for her to eat. I was thinking maybe the Instinct/prairie kibble?? What do you guy/gals suggest? I am very new to all of this so any info would be great. Thanks Tess |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi ! I like the Instinct line best since it's grain free. If it were me, I wouldn't switch any food for the first 2 weeks or so - let your baby adjust and make sure she is healthy first. Once she is settled, then do a gradual switch - adding in about 15-20% of the new kibble for about 4-5 days, see how she does. Then add about 50% of the new kibble for the next week, see how she does. Then add 75% of the new kibble and if she does fine, eliminate old kibble.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | The Instinct is grain free and higher in protein.

| Both Xavier and Sasha are on Nature's Variety raw medallions and they love it! I've been shocked by the improvements that I've seen in both of their coats and skin! We switched cold turkey, which is what I think is recommended? There have been several threads on here regarding Nature"s Variety if you want to do a little more research first. Opps...I didn't realize we were talking about kibble! Sorry! Wylie's Mom definitely will have good advice I'm sure
