| yougart Hi all: I feed my two Yorkies vanilla yogurt everyday...I was wondering if anyone has fed their furbutts the fruit flavored ( I am not sure whether it is real fruit or flavored in these yogurts) yogurt. And of course is fruit yogurt healthy for them...I eat fruit flavored every day for the calcium. I was thinking blueberry and strawberry banana. Thanks in advance... Tina

| I gave mine peach yogurt today and they love it. I bought vanilla too. I am giving them that tomorrow. I was wondering about the other flavors too. I thought they would all be okay but I am not sure.

| You guys may want to consider just giving plain yogurt and cutting up a lil apple or banana or whatever they like. The commercial yogurts are loaded with sugars. Just a thought |

| I give Meek plain low fat yogurt with some fresh fruit a few times a week. I was worried about the sugars in the flavored ones, like Lisa mentioned. If I don't have any fruit, he fines with the low fat plain yogurt.

| After I posted this I thought about the sugars and decided that when I have fresh fruit it is best to do use that....I always have given them Vanilla which was recomended by their breeder when they were pups so I will continue with that...they love it....and cottage cheese also. Thanks Tina

Feeding sugary foods can lead to hypoglycemia, obesity and tons of other maladies that will negatively affect your puppy's health. I feed plain, organic, stoneyfield farm yogurt. some fresh chopped fruit is much better if your pooch like the flavor.
