| Ugh...I'm embarrassed, but I have to ask this... My baby, 2 yr old Madison was neutered yesterday. He's got that empty sac hanging now...is it going to stay like that? Max's is gone completely and to tell you the truth, I don't remember it ever looking like that, even the day he came home (but it's been almost 3 yrs, so maybe I've just forgotten). It looks kind of not very attractive. I guess there's nothing I can do about it, but I hope it shrinks up at least a little bit. Will it?

| I had the same question with Gizmo, but it's smooth now. (Hubby's shaking his head at this thread! LOL!)

| LOL...I'm laughing with you! Reminds me of a funny story--my neighbor had her dog neutered a while back and her boyfriend picked him up to bring him home. He got out of the car and ran to me in a panick....asked what went wrong and why they left one? To answer your question, yes it is normal and yes, it will eventually go away. |

| OH THANK GOD!!! I'm sorry, it just (I hate to say this, but...) reminds me of a little old man (sorry sorry sorry..but it's those nurse flashbacks), and it just looks weird. I'm SO GLAD it will smooth out! I know Max's must have b/c you can't tell there was ever anything there, but I read that if they were mature at neutering, it would remain as a "skin flap"...and I was hoping this wasn't what they meant by "flap". I appreciate the answers! And I apologize to the guys who see this, LOL...I know it's a beautiful thing....

| Just got Gus done in May; now he just looks like he has a large brown spot on his abdomen. It's only been a little over a month, and it has completely shrunk. |
