| How big will he get? My yorkie puppy is 4 months old and weights about 6 and 1/2 pounds. How much bigger will he get? Will he double? What is the average for a normal yorkie thats not a teacup size? The vet told me when I first got him (he was only 3 pounds) that he wouldnt get bigger than 6lbs, but he keeps growing. Thanks! |

| I got one of mine at 4 months old. He weighed 4 1/2 lbs then & his breeder was letting him go because, although he'd been keeping him to show, he said he would end up over the 7lb show limit. He's 18 months old now & weighs 8lbs. If you go to the main General Discussion forum there's a puppy growth chart on the last sticky thread from the top that gives an idea of the weights they'll reach full grown based on the different puppy weights at various ages. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Do you know what size his parents were? DId the breeder give you an estimate? I would guess he is going to be 8-12 lbs depending on genetics and if he stops growing early.
