| Withdrawing Blood for Tests We took Angel to the vet to get a blood test for heartworm on May 3, which was negative. In January when she had her annual exam, we decided to wait until May to do the wellness blood testing at the same time as the heartworm test; however, we forgot to do her annual wellness blood testing at the same time. We took her back to the vet on May 16 to do this. Then the vet's office called about a week later and said the lab misplaced a vile of blood and would need us to bring Angel back to withdraw more blood. We're taking her back on June 7. Angel is 2 years and 5 months old and is about 3.5 lb. Is there any harm in her having blood withdrawn this often? Thanks. |

| Not at all. Just to make you feel better, last fall Ellie had a bile acid test done (two blood tests within two about two hours) and a couple days later she had a blood panel done. I think it was about five weeks later that she had a repeat bile acid test along with another blood panel and two titer vaccine blood tests. The time when she had all of this done I think they only had to take blood twice. It didn't affect her at all. By the way, this was all drawn from the neck.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Shouldn't be a problem. Several of mine have had blood drawn 2 days in a row.
