| Romeo stepped in gum! I took Romeo for our morning walk and he stepped in gum. He stopped walking immediately. I took him inside and washed his paw with dog shampoo. The gum is stuck between his pads. I don't want to cause an injury by messing in that area. I called the vet and they told me to call a groomer. Does anyone have any advice for me? Please help..he is very uncomfortable.

| I agree with the suggestion of applying peanut butter to the gum. On a side note, I hate when people throw their gum on the sidewalk.

| I would say use peanut butter or maybe try a little ice on the area to harden it( don't know how they would like that though)... I know it works in human hair?? |

| Either peanut butter or plain butter should help get it out or try ice and then cut it out when it is hard. I also hate it when people don't use garbage cans!

| I've had to do this to a couple of my boys when they were little.........it works perfectly. Just message a little into the gum and it breaks the gum totally apart and you can then just comb it out. Then wash the hair. |
