| Back problem and neutering concern... Hi everyone, I just have a (actually 2..) question for all you guys out there. First question is... I noticed our dog yorkie has a humpy back. And when i felt his spine in the middle it was like protruding outwards. What can you guys say about this problem? And do any of you have this problem w/ your yorkies (coz i never see this problem in the forum)? And can anyone suggest wat I can do about this? Secondly, in about 3 weeks time we are going to have our yorkie get neutered finally. He is going to turn 2 yr old on June 11. Is it a concern for him to get neutered at this age? Would the procedure really help cut his aggressiveness and endless marking outdoors? For anyone that can share his thoughts and inputs in any or both of these questions. Thanks in advance and I really appreciate the advice from you all. |

| I have read that dogs that have LP often develop a hump back. I would suggest you have a vet check him out. It could also be due to a back injury. I am not sure if neutering him at this age will help any with the marking and aggression. Hopefully someone on YT that has gone through that will be able to give some input on that. I do know one lady that had a dog that marked a lot and I don't think it changed his habit that much after he was neutered. Good luck with your boy. |
