| Double Fang teeth...eeeks! OK, we were chatting about bad breath a while back, and someone mentioned to watch for double teeth as they loose them. My Trixie Girl has double fang teeth on the bottom jaw. Is there any chance the baby teeth will still come out? Any experience here, or will I definately have to have them pulled? Do you think a big bone will do the trick? Taffy? String around her baby teeth to the door knob? Of course I wouldn't do that... we did try it with our kids tho' he he they let us! lol

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Are you going to have him neutered? Most people have them pulled during surgery. If not, I would still have them professionally pulled. If baby teeth are present, permanent teeth can come in crooked and this can lead to serious dental problems later.

| Chipper is 1.5 yrs. old and still has one of his canine teeth on the top. He was neutered before it was apparent that this one wasn't coming out. Was at the vet the other day. Wanted to know if they needed to put him out to pull it. She said that she didn't want to do that and would wait until an opportunity presented itself. Asked if would cause problems, and she said "no." I still question it, but I'll just keep an eye on it. I brush and rinse their mouth every evening so their teeth don't need to be cleaned any time soon. Eventually, probably.

Bella had those 2 teeth on the bottom. her adult teeth grew so much bigger. eventually a big bone pushed one out and then when I went to the vet to have a shot they were holding her and the other one popped out. she was about 15 months old. I was to have the last one pulled during her spay two weeks later. I hated waiting because I had to constantly clean between the two. Good luck with your baby! | |
