| Leaky Yorkie ? We always watch TV at night in bed. Two times this past week my girl Zoe has had an incident that has me puzzled. She always snuggles and naps while laying up next to me. When I move, turn or get up she gets up also. Twice this week there has been a wet spot where she way laying (really wet) and her back leg hair has been wet. I don't know if she has a leaky bladder or poor control? Any one out there ever had this happen? I am kind of concerned about this. I may have to try to get a sample to take in and have it checked out at the vet's office.

| She is 4 years old and spayed. I am going to watch her this week end and if she has any more incidents, I am going to try to get a sample and take it in. She is also due for her yearly check up and shots next month, so I am thinking about taking her in early to have her checked out. Thanks for the replies.

| I would definitely have the vet take a urine sample and do a urinalysis...She could have a UTI...Hope she feels better soon!!

| My guess is it is a lack of necessary hormoes due to her age and being spayed. Your vet should check a sample for any kind of infections first though. We have a female Brittney Spaniel who developed the same problem at about 3 years of age and it just kept getting worse, and she started to be a bit depressed, finally we had the vet prescribe DES (artificial hormones). She nows takes the pill once a week and it has made a huge difference in the leaking and her attitude. Good Luck
