| How old are Yorkies when they get their tales clipped? I am curious... my little pup doesn't have his tale clipped at all. I don't think i will... he'll look weird but i think it'd be too late regardless, right? He's about 7 1/2 weeks old, and his hair isnt very long or fluffy... is this normal? It's still shortish and smooth, which i find odd since i see all these pictures of fluffy little yorkie puppies *sigh* I heart him so much! |

| Don't do it - their tails are sooo beautiful when untouched His hair will change at around 4-6 months and he will grow the hair that will be long and silky. His puppy coat is fluffy from 9-10 weeks.

| I love longer tails so I bet your baby looks so cute! I got Missy at 8wks and she wasnt fluffy, she started to fluff out at about 12 - 14 weeks. I got Max at 12 weeks and I didnt notice he was really fluffy till the very next week so at 13 weeks. Do you have any pictures of your baby, we'd love to see him.
