| I think Bailey swallowed something bad! i can't see my vet till tomorrow but i think bailey ate something he shouldnt have. he has been vomiting and wont eat. he will drink water a little but not like normal. i was having to hand feed him! i read some other posts regarding blockage in the stomach which makes them not want to eat. if that is the case, how do you cure this? what if it wont pass. i have him here at work with me to keep a close eye on him but i am wondering if i should make an emergency trip. today is the first day that he will not touch his food i thought it was the begining of separation axiety but he is stil doing it while he is with me |

| me too! I came home last night and found that TJ did some serious chewing/eating on the corner of the stained & shellac (sp) wood door. He pooped normal but the tail end of it was mucus and his belly/rear was girrgiling (sp) ALL night long. He did want to eat or drink. He finally ate a very tiny bit of boiled chicken and rice. He also did stop the girgiling (sp) and was playing as normal and then it was bed time! We got up in the morning and he was starving! He ate more chicken and rice and 2 biskets. Then I had to leave to go to work...he didn't poop again! the last time was at 6pm. I guess I'll have to see what happens tonight! I hope Bailey and Maximus feel better soon! I had to bring Roxy and TJ to work once with me too! They were so nervious and scared that they wouldn't eat or poop all day, they just slept! The second we got home it was poop and food immediately! |

| I cant get Bailey to even look at his food and unfortunatly that is all i brought with me today. my vet told me that if they dont get enough calories in the day and or are lethargic to give them sugar or honey to keep from getting hypoglycemia. i gave him a couple licks of sugar off my finger and he loved that. he plays normal, just wont eat or drink. the vomiting stopped, that was only 4 times today i also noticed he is shedding a little and i know yorkies are not supposed to shed! what is this about?! has anyone noticed their fur babies shedding? its not a bad shed but he was on my lap and when i put him down i noticed fur on my pants. i think i am going to go to the pet store and get osme treats in hopes that he gets something in his stomach |

| 4 TIMES IS ALOT IN 1 DAY...Maximus only threw up once so far and that was last night....as far as the shedding he is probably shedding his puppy coat..but it is hair not fur, Maximus is also going through this stage but it has gotten a lot less and once they get their adult coats in you won't notice it anymore..Maximus is almost 6months!!

| as far as the vomiting goes. it has only been 1 dry heave and 3 other dry heaves with something that looks like spit coming out. its not full vomiting i think. i have just never seen him do it so frequently. about the shedding, i forgot about the puppy coat, duh! i called my vet and they felt i could wait for my apt in the morning. i am on my way to the pet store to see if there is anything i can get in his tummy. if he does not eat all day, believe you me i am calling my vet at home! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I hope he's ok - it sounds good that he's eating - but if you see signs of distress and the vet ISN'T open - there are Emergency Vets open in most areas - but he sounds like he's doing better already - They can really scare us can't they ? |

| My vet also recomends chicken baby food. It is very high in nutrients and they really seem to like it.

| I feel for you. I hope Bailey gets over this soon. I can only imagine how you feel. I can't even think of this happening to Winston. Good luck! |
