| We have the sniffles! :( Both Emma and Milli have been sneezing, reverse sneezing, snorting and sniffling yesterday and today. I gave them Benadryl last night and this morning-but I don't like using that because it completely knocks them both out . I went out and got some Claritin today, and gave each of them half a Claritin around dinner time-my vet told me to do this last year with Milli-and it seemed to help for a bit. But...they are still sniffling. The Benadryl seems to work better, but they hate taking the liquid-I don't like forcing them to take it, and they know when I try and hide it in their food because it tastes funny. I think they'd do better with pills I could wrap in some cheese or a marshmallow or something. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's allergies-which I'm assuming it IS, because everything is blooming here right now, and the other day I came out of my office and my car was covered with yellow powdery pollen . It doesn't help that everyone mowed their lawn this weekend, and all that's in the air too. I'm wondering-can they get colds? Or could this just be allergies? I'm not sure how long to let it ride before I need to take them to the vet? Any advice? Thanks!

| Mochi (9 months old) also has the same problem. It is her first hot summer and I think she is allergic to something during this season. It was so severe that she even cough out a lot something like bubble, transparent mucus. I had to take her to the emergency last week. The vet guess it was allergy and did not suggest anything. So I gave her some Bendrayl (Walgreen version) which I gave her last time after the first emergency call 2, 3 months ago. Now she is all good, just once or twice of reverse sneezing only. If your babies are totally knocked out by the medicine, my vet suggested to give a little bit less to them. I gave her the liquid Bendryl with a syringe bc I found it easier for them to take. I hope your babies will feel better soon.

| They're still sneezing and reverse sneezing today...I gave them each 1/2 a Claritin in their dinner tonight-but I think we'll be calling the vet tomorrow.

I know how you feel about the benedryl. I hate giving it to Lay too. But i also don't like going to the vet because she wants to give us meds and i don't want her on those either... geeeze... loose loose it seems. Keep us posted and let me know what the vet says. We send hugs and kisses to Emma and Milli |

| Suzy, I'm sorry your girls are still struggling. Hopefully, the vet can come up with a better solution. I'm sad for them, because I unfortunately know what it feels like to have sniffles from allergies
