| Constipated fur baby! I tried to "search" the forum for this problem but nothing will come up. Does this mean that Yorkies don't get constipated often? My little ShyAnne has been having problems with her poops for a few weeks now. Her stools are either a little pile of "rabbit droppings" or one solid string of the same. Last nite, I noticed she was squatting to have a poop but it was taking her some work!! Poor baby! My yorkies eat dry kibble all day long - Petcurean Go! Natural which has a high rating for its quality! At suppertime, they get one tblspoon each of the food we get from our vet - Medi-Cal Preventive Formula. We have stopped giving them any people food, at all, anytime, except for chicken and rice that I make up for them when necessary!! Both vets we have had in their short lives (2, becuz we moved) have said not to give them people food anymore b/c of the probs they were having with different things - diarrhea, vomiting, yellow gel-looking stuff in their stools. All of the probs happened at different times, and to each of them but not at the same time. What I need to know is if rice and/or chicken, can help with constipation? Or is there something else I can do to help her? My Ginger (2yo) isn't having that prob at all, only ShyAnne (14mo) is. Will greatly appreciate any ideas!

| Try giving her a little jarred baby applesauce or baby jarred plumes, prunes in her diet. |

| MyAngel & bchgirl: Thankyou for the suggestions. I had read about both of your ideas but forgot them! I will try them, one at a time, and post back to which one worked the best. Next time someone needs to do a search for this topic, hopefully they will find this one!

| Sweet potato works too!! You just cook one up and mash it and then you can freeze it into small amounts so you will have it when you need it! Pumpkin and sweet potato can be used for diarrhea and constipation, it is a fiber.
