Need recommendations for a new dry dog food

I've been feeding my yorkie nature's variety, but no one in town carries it anymore. Any recommendations for another good brand of dry dog food for a Yorkie?

I have been feeding Timberwolf Organic Dry and Natural. My girls love it. My breeder recommended Solid Gold. Merrick dry is also good.

That food looks fab! Could I get a sample too? How did you find out about this brand? I've been feeding my baby Science Diet Puppy, but according to the posts, this is not a good brand and I always thought it was. My vet uses it, why would my vet use it if it's not good?

Canidae is AWESOME check it out! you have to get it from a dealer most of the time. but check it out. its awesome. and look up its ingredients!

Have you checked out Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble -- you can read about a lot of different foods and then maybe find one you like and have names of to find in your area. I'd stick with a 4 or 5 star food

Unfortunately, most vets aren't trained much in nutrition. Science Diet teaches the vets and so they all push it. Vets also get kickbacks from selling it. Most vets have no clue what the ingredients are in the SD products. Not all SD is bad so read the ingredients. I know SD has some specific foods for the babies that have health issues but for healthy furbabies, the regular SD is full of corn, which is a filler and has no nutritional value at all.

LA is formulated by a holistic vet who is an expert in healthy nutrition for what our companion animals need.

Yay! I found a supplier who sells Nature's Variety! I'm so relieved. But, I'm also very interested in the Life's Abundance so I'm going to look into that as well!
