Yesterday I noticed Itsy's ears smell horrible. I cleaned them with these special q-tips for cleaning dog's ears and there was a little bit of light brown oilyness there, but not a thick waxy build-up. She isn't scratching or shaking her head, they just stink. What could be causing this and what should I do??

That's exactly what Wylie once had - it's probably an infection. We gave prescription ointment x 10 days and it cleared up.

Kash's ears stink sometimes too... usually when i haven't cleaned them in a while. i don't think it's a sign of infection if he's not bothered by them... you could take him to the vet if you're very worried.

I took her to the vet yesterday and he didn't think there was anything wrong with her ears. I guess they just stink
