| For all those picky eaters...help me choose Tucker's Food Just wondering if any of you have extremely picky eaters and if so, what food did you have luck with getting your doggie to eat? Tucker is really really picky and just to get him to eat I have to take him outside and let him watch the birds while I hand feed him his kibble....even then he doesn't eat enough, but it's better than nothing. Any suggestions? |

| Autumn is a real chow hound, she would eat anything and everything but Blaze was so picky it was making me sick because I thought he would start to starve. He would eat about 5 kibbles and walk away, no matter what we gave him. We switched to NV Raw Medallions and we have been gobbling it up ever since! Couldn't be happier!! Good luck w/Tucker!

| Have you tried raw food? Peeka is exteremely fussy, always been underweight, didn't matter what I used to feed him he never ate enough. But ever since he has been on the raw, his coat is so much shiner, and he has filled out, i can no longer feel every vertabrae.

| There are no stores that sell raw nearby me and I checked into online stores, but shipping raw was outrageous because it had to be packed in dry ice. Do any of you order online? If so, what site have you found to be cheapest? |

| I give Abby Stella and Chewys Freeze Dried Raw Lamb and Beef. Its the only thing she has consistenly eaten... and trust me I have tried everything... And for treats she gets the same brand and Merricks Flossies. And right before bed she gets the CET Dental sticks. She refuses to get her teeth brushed. LOL

| FYI: The freeze Dried do not have to be frozen. You just add a little warm water and mash it up. Try purchasing the small bag its like 10 bucks.

| My Jack was eating very little kibble also. I switched to raw last week and he is eating much more now. We have only had chicken legs so far will be adding beef next week. Betty |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Raw would be my recommendation too - but wow, shipping is tough. You could do freeze dried medallions - but that's about $20 a bag. Otherwise, the most "yummy" kibble I know of is Orijen - dogs tend to go nutty for its taste - you may have to order it, but if he eats it - it's probably worth it. Otherwise, Natures Variety Instinct might be another one to try (kibble and canned). What have you tried?

| Picky eaters I also recommend raw, My little guy was exactly like that, but raw he loved it immediatley! But I also cook homemade dog food and add vitamine/supplements to it and he has gained good weight and is energetic, happy etc!!!!Plus I KNOW what is in it, cause I do it. |

| Jamie's on NV Raw but the closest place I could find from your zip code that sells it is about an hour away from you. I drive about 45 minutes once a month to get Jamie's. Since its frozen I buy enough for the whole month and put it in the freezer. It's worth the extra gas money since he wouldn't eat anything else.

| Raw hard to obtain??? Not if..... You don't have to worry about shipping $$$ if you purchased chicken drumsticks and similar bones for your dog to eat. That would be the "prey model" way of feeding. Many dogs have the right instinct about yucky k*bble and require serious coaxing at feeding time! Mine was no exception.... . I'm not knocking my friends on here (shout out to my girl, Ann) feeding the pre-made nuggets, but you DO have other options if you want to go RAW! Quote:

| I just put Odie on raw last week and what a difference it has made. He has put on weight (which he needed) and he is now eating.. before this.. oh heavens.. I would be on the floor coaxing him to eat anything and he was lick it and then show me his furbutt walking out the door.. Very frustrating at the time. but now no worries he is very happy with his new food and I don't have to sit there anymore to coax him to eat. He runs to his plate and licks it clean.. wooohoooo
