| I wouldn't normally do this as I don't like to push what I feed, but has she considered raw? Raw doggies don't smell, their bodies, their breath or their poop. If she's nervous, maybe tell her to try the premade, or if she's adventurous, invite her over here to check out the prey model raw threads. Whatever she chooses, hope her adorable Mini feels and smells better soon! Tara |

| she wont feed raw I asked her to try... Mini free feeds and she would not be able to adjust to the feeding of raw with her 2 small kids. |

| Actually I think she'd be surprised, but if she refuses, she refuses. I understand that, it took me 6 years to get the nerve up to do it. As the other poster said, have the vet check the anal glands, that might be it. |

| No they aren't? I was just down there and I smelled her. It is really something I have never smelled before. Amy will take her to the Groomers. (she has a Short Puppy Cut.) She will smell great after her bath but with in a hours her (smell) is there. also likes to go out and *bake* in the sun. She will lay on the patio till Amy makes her come in. She has really itchy skin too. but no rash. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Is it really like "butt" smell or like a nasty "dog" smell? I'd maybe get her checked for yeast, bc that can smell awful, if left unchecked - that might be what you're smelling.

| Maybe the products the groomer uses on her mixes with her own doggie smells/skin oils over time and makes a nasty smell? You know, like how the same perfume smells different on different people? What does the groomer put on her?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | She won't do raw, so, I'd probably recommend Orijen, Natures Variety Instinct (canned and kibble) - I'm really liking the look of Wellness Core Ocean too, esp. for dogs with issues.
