| Holly's Eye. Please Help With Your Advice Please If You Can. Holly Is 7 Months Old Now. I Got Up This Morning And Her Left Eye Was Closed Shut And All Green Mess Around It (like Conjunctivitus Type) I Bathed It And Removed The Gunk, her Left Eye Is Open But Keeps On Closing A Little As If Its Saw. She Was Out In The Garden Yesterday And One Of My Rabbits Jumped Towards Her As She Was Scampering Around Him, I Dont Know If He Hurt Her As She Was Perfectly Fine Yesterday Afterwards, Its Just This Morning That It Was Stuck. Any Ideas Please, Im So Worried About My Baby. Thankyou So Much

| It sounds like an allergy but it could be an infection too if the mucous is green. I would say the if you wash it out and it stays goopy for the next day or so, I'd go to the vet. Or if the swelling gets worse, go to the vet. She's still a pup so I wouldn't give benedryl myself. Hope she's O.K.

| I would definitely go to the vet. Eye infections can be dangerous. She may needs some eye drops, especially if there is an infection

| I had a poodle who had scratched her eye and it oozed green. They gave her meds and she was better really quick. Her scratch was not very deep. I hope your baby is feeling better soon. Keep us updated on what the vet says.

| Hollys Eye Update After The Vets HI ALL, AS PROMISED HERE IS AN UPDATE FROM THE VETS THIS EVENING WITH MY HOLLY BOO. THE VET PUT A STAIN INTO HER EYE AND THEN SHONE AN ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT OVER IT, WHICH REVEALED AN ULCER!!!! YOU COULD SEE IT SO CLEARLY WHEN THE LIGHT WAS ON IT, BUT WAS UNSEEN TO THE NAKED EYE!! HE GAVE HER AN INJECTION FOR PAIN RELIEF AND ALSO ADMINISTERED A GEL INTO HER EYE, WHICH WE HAVE TO ADMINISTER 3 TIMES A DAY. HE WAS CONFIDENT THAT IT WILL HEAL. HE ASKED US IF WE HAD CATS AS HE THOUGHT THAT A CAT MAY HAVE SCRATCHED IT, BUT I DID TELL HIM WE HAVE RABBITS!!!! HE SAID ITS EASILY DONE. I FELT SO SORRY FOR MY BABY, SHE FELL ASLEEP IN THE CAR ON THE WAY HOME AND WAS SO PLEASED TO SEE HER BIG SIS WHEN WE GOT HOME. THNKYOU SO MUCH AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR POSTS TO ME AND MY BABY. I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED ON THIS POST. LOVE AND BIG HUGS FROM ENGLAND TO ALL YOU SPECIAL FRIENDS AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FURBABIES.

| Bless her little bones. Hope she continues to mend without any problems. Those little eyes are so close to the ground that lots of things can hurt them. I always have to wash the girls eyes out with distilled water after their walk because of all the dirt blowing around. |

| I'm I wrong, I thought I read on here you shouldn't have you're pups around rabbits? I believe they can get sick if they eat their poop |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | So glad you got her in. I had a yorkie with that and the gel really helps heal it pretty fast. Poor baby.

| Holly Hi There Everyone. Hollys Eye Wasnt Stuck This Morning Guess The Gel Is Starting To Work. Just To Clarify; I Never Let Holly Out In Our Garden When My Rabbits Are Out,she Is House Bound When They Are Out, They Graze In A Pen Too So Any Poop Is Cleaned Up Immediatly. What Happened The Other Day Was My Children Had The Rabbits Out And I Was Doing The Laundry When My Youngest Son Ran In The House And Holly Ran Out Into The Garden (and As Im Sure We Are All Aware On Here Just How Fast Our Furbabies Can Run When They Want Too!!) It Was Just Unfortunate That She Had A Few Seconds Contact With My Rabbit. Believe Me Ive Beat Myself Up Over This, Even Saying I Will Give My Rabbits Another Home, but This Is The First Time She Has Ever Come Into Contact With Them, And Believe Me Is Definatly The Last. Off Now To Administer Her Eye Gel. Thankyou All Again From The Bottom Of My Heart For All Your Kind Words. Big Hugs To You All. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
