| changing my little one's food I'm thinking of changing my little one's food. He doesn't seem to be eating it much he is on Eukenaba for puppies. He just turned 1 and I would like to see him gain some weight I think he doesn't eat often. Sometimes just once a day, of course he will eat table food, like chicken but I don't want to get him use to eating table food. If I do change it, should I mix a little of the old food with the new? |

| Yes I as i understand it, you are supposed to phase it in over several weeks starting with a ratio of like 25% new 75% old . I think those are the ratios. Even though he doesn't like it, I still think you should phase it in, otherwise it might be too much of a shock.

| Were changing Sadies food from Eukenuba to Wellness. Its been almost 2 weeks and shes still not fully on Wellness yet. The first day she got a bit of an upset stomache from just a bit of a food change, so we slowed it down alot. Shes about 80% new 20% old now. I think gradually changing it is the best way to go and if they get a sore tummy then maybe make it a bit more gradual. Good luck :) |
