| Bathing. Is it safe to spray water on it's head? I am afraid that water will go in the ear and cause some infection. Does anyone have bathing tips? Thank you very much |

| I use a washcloth dipped in clean water, I soak it and then squeeze the water over the head. I also use my hand as a cup, or a cup, and poor that way. If I got too much conditioner on or something and need to use the spray, I put cotton balls in the ears first.

| My vet said not to let any water get into the ears, so I hold the ears down with my middle finger and thumb on one hand, when I am spraying Max's head. I clean the ears separately. I'd welcome any tips on bathing. |

YT Addict | Help! I got some water in my puppy's ear while bathing! So sorry for that, it's the first time I ever bathed him before and it's going to take some practice to get it just right. I wish I would have read this first, I'm going to use a washcloth on his face in the future. I put some of the ear wash solution in his ears that I got from the vet. Will that neutralize the water? I remember the vet tech saying something like that when she first gave me the solution. He's rubbing his head all around on the carpet and won't stop! Is that normal? | Yes, a wash cloth would be a good idea or very carefully use your hands to wash the head. I usually just use my hands to work the solutions for rinsing it out. A cotton ball in the ears will help absorb any drops of water that enter the ear canal. Make sure that the hairs down inside the canal are plucked to prevent infections.

| If you get water in the ears again you can put a couple drops of alcohol or witch hazel in her ears. Then wipe out with cotton. The alcohol will help the water evaporate. |

| rubbing the head after a bath is normal and washing there heads and getting water in there eyes is okay, they will close them, you can always put a couple of drops of saline solution in their eyes, if you feel you get shampoo in them.

| We have baby shampoo that is okay for them because if it gets into their eyes, it won't burn their eyes. I always use a cup over their head and hold down their ears while I'm pouring water. |
