| Back to the drawing board... After much research to find one of the best foods for my dogs, I decided upon Nutro Natural. I just read another post where a fellow YTer found Nutro is causing dogs to get sick. I know this is probably already on a post somewhere in here but I decided to go ahead and make my own. I'm on a search for a new food for my 3 dogs and I need your help... What do you feed? Do you recommend it? What makes it one of the best? Thanks for your help!

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | you know I keep switching also and having 7 yorkies its really hard to find a dog food everyone likes and does well with. Because of Dakotas alergy problem, Im right back to Natural Balance Duck and potatoe. Thats all he gets except veggies now. The rest get kibble, a little chicken, veggies, sometimes cottage cheese. And the only treats I give now are charlie bears. All seven seem to be doing really well. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I use California Natural Lamb and Rice dry and wet. I also have one that has allergies.

| I use Foster & Smith's lamb and brown rice and also their chicken and brown rice formulas. I alternate varieties with each bag. I have 12 Yorkies ranging from 2 1/2 pounds to 12 pounds and they all do well on it. The chicken variety has a 26% protein content and the lamb has 21%. It's rated 4 star by dogfoodananylisis.com. It has no by-products, wheat or corn in it and no chemical preservatives and has the Omega fatty acids in it. Some of the super premium foods have a higher protein content and that is why I stay away from them, but there are differing opinions about the ideal protein content. I feed dry only in the morning and dry mixed with canned in the evening (1 can Pedigree lamb and vegetable divided among all the dogs). Hope this helps. I know the food you choose is very much an individual choice but this works for me. |

| The were NOT part of the recalls. I checked the gov't sites regularly to make sure during that time. I was afraid like everyone else at that time but was relieved to find they never made the list. |

| Thanks everyone! After doing some research and reading some posts here on YT I decided to try the raw diet. I printed out a buy one get one free coupon off of Nature's Variety website and I went a bought 2 bags of their chicken medallions. I've heard so many good things about this type of diet so I have my fingers crossed!
