| Could there be baby teeth at 1? Yesterday I notice Roxy, who just turned 1, was playing with something. It was her bottom kanin tooth and one of the teeth next to it, that fell out of her mouth...the two teeth were still attached to each other. Is it possible that it was two of her baby teeth? I looked in her mouth and I didn't see any new teeth growing in, its just her gums. The teeth that feel out looked brown and hollow. I am really concerned should I call the vet?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yeah, I would - just to be sure there isn't an infected tooth or something, which could be incredibly painful. It could be a leftover baby tooth - but I woudn't risk not going to the vet for this one...

| Aww poor baby! Bella's last baby tooth was finally pushed out at 16 months. it was a bottom canine. It was sooooooo much smaller than the adult tooth. But you know come to think of it, they were the same size around 12 months. Do you still have the teeth? Hopefully the vet can help |

| Retained baby teeth are common in Yorkies. Vets usually remove them during the spay or neuter. Was she spayed? If not, you need to have your vet check her mouth. |

| I called the Vet yesterday and she said it was odd for a 1 year old Yorkie to be loosing baby teeth, but its still possible. So I am going to take her in just in case, I'd rather be safe then sorry. I kept the tooth, so I was going to bring it with me to the Vets office. I hope it was just baby teeth and nothing wrong. When I took her in the get spayed, they said they took out all of the baby teeth so I guess they might have missed some.
