| Abby & Daisy's vet vist Today was the first time I've taken Abby and Daisy to the vet. They've both been before. Daisy with her previous owner and Abby with the breeder. Daisy, my little teapot, weighed in at 8 lbs 9 oz., that was with her shirt, hair barette and leash on..LOL! Abby at 12 weeks, weighs, 2 lbs on the nose! The breeder has guessed her to be about 4 lbs fully grown all along and that's what it looks like she will be or at least there's a very good chance. Daisy had a fluid filled cyst aspirated and a blood draw for heartworms and Abby had her regular vaccination. My girls are good to go now! At least for another 3 weeks until Abby has to go back for her last shot. I have to say, my girls were the prettiest in the waiting room And definitely smelled the best! I'm not being biased either Afterwards, since they were both such good girls, we stopped at DQ. Abby had apple sauce and Daisy had a kiddie cup with vanilla ice cream (Mama had to test it out first and eat half of it...hee hee) YUM!

Abby seems a little sore on her back. Can the vaccination do that? She yelps if we hold her a certain way.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Glad they both had a good visit and a cool treat afterwards. The shot definately makes then sore and can sometimes cause a lump at the site of the injection that will go away after a couple of weeks.

| Thank You Patti. Abby also seems extra sleepy. I'm thinking the whole thing just took it out of her. Bless her little heart.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Well, what do you know......... Halle had her 2nd set of shots today also (her first vet visit with me) and we also took Lucky in for his boosters. Halle checked out great! At 12wks she weighs 3.2lbs, good bite, and checked out well all around. She goes back in on May 13th for her last set of shots and a micro chip. I think due to the car ride, the excitement at the vets, and her shots, she puked in the car on the way home. So no stops for ice cream for her. 3 year old Lucky should weigh about 6 lbs tops and weighed in at 8 lbs! We've been trying so hard to get him to lose weight without much luck. But we'll keep trying. Maybe with the spring weather on it's way, more walks will help. The vet said she could feel/tell??? telltale signs of luxating patella So you know we'll be working extra hard on getting that extra weight off. He also has a little gum disease and will be going back also on the 13 of May to have his teeth cleaned. Not the best report on our Lucky, but he is otherwise healthy & happy. Poor Lucky, with his weight, no ice cream for him either. Glad to hear all went well for Abby and Daisy!

| Rose, I'm happy to hear that Halle got such a good report I'm not all that crazy about this particular vet. We've been using the same facility for years, but it's a toss up on which vet you get. There are a couple we really like and one inparticular that we don't care for. Of course, that's the one we got yesterday, dagnabit! He didn't really tell me much at all. They are so affordable though, that I can't hardly not take them there for well dog visits. Now if they were to ever have a problem, I would probably seek out a different vet. I know I wouldn't leave them there overnight. We have left both our big dogs there and our cat, but even the last time our cat was sick, we took him to a different vet since he was going to have to stay overnight. (they seem to have gone downhill over the years) Abby did see a vet 3 weeks ago and I got to read that report. So overall I feel pretty good about her. She's so spunky and full of life! KNOCK WOOD it stays that way! After I left, I thought of a zillion things I wished I'd asked. I knew the night before I should have written all my questions down. DUH! Abby seems to feel perfectly fine today. She only had a bit of soreness where the shot was given yesterday. Have you got any new pictures of Halle? I posted some pics of just Abby the other day in the picture forum. Give Halle a hug and kiss from Auntie Tammy and the girls.
