| My baby's belly HELP!!! My little girl has been "off" for the last week and a half and I'm starting to get nervous. She started last week with diarreah so I made her some white rice and mixed it in with plain hamburger and this seemed to help. Her poop firmed up and she seemed back to normal. As the week pogressed I took her off the rice/hamburger and put her regular food (Iams) back out and she wouldn't touch it, which was no big surprise to me since she loves the rice/hamburger combo. When I finally got her to eat it she threw it up about 20 minutes later and this happened twice. She has been eating a lot of grass which tells me her belly is still upset so I have taken her food away completely and have been feeding her the rice/hamburger again. When she was a pup she was eating the Eukanuba, when she turned 1 I changed her to the Iams and didn't have any trouble with it, but to me it seems she has developed some sort of reaction to the food. Her eyes have been more watery than normal and I have noticed her nose is wetter than normal from time to time. I did call the Vet today and am going to try and get her in this week for a check up but was wondering if anyone out there has had sudden trouble with the Iams? Should I continue with the hamburger and rice combo? Maybe switch her food all together? |

| My Sassy is two years old. I got her at one year. She has had issues with dog food that so distressed me that I switched her over to food that I prepare. She loves it and with supplements from the vet seems to be doing very well with it. I know there are a lot of folks on here that cook for their babies as well. I am sure you will get many responses. You just have to work at it and find something that your baby likes and will properly nourish as well. Changes in diet are stressful to their systems which will cause problems in and of itself. All the best on finding a solution. |

| Just want to say hello and welcome. It sounds like her food is definitely not agreeing with her if the vet has ruled out other possible causes. I do know there are better foods out there than Iams. I feed raw but I'm sure others will come on with recommendations.
