| Hi all, I am actually new to motherhood with my first pet ever. I adopted a 2yr old yorkie named Spencer, it's quite a life changing experience. I need any advice you guys could furnish, as far as diet, play, anything. He recently got sick, so I am very concerned, he's been vomiting and had diareah. I need to look for a vet. Look forward to chatting. Spencers Mom |

| Welcome to yorkietalk. You should be able to get answers to all of your questions. As far as dog food goes, go to www.dogfoodanalysis.com for ratings. Any specfic topics (like vomiting or diarrhea) click on search at the top of any page in yorkietalk & type in your subject. You'll get a ton of info that has already been posted. Be sure you find a good vet & go as soon as you can. Good luck with you new one. I'm sure your in for the experience of a lifetime! ![]()

| Marcel + Wylie = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Welcome to YT, glad you are here! ![]() You'll find a lot of help here - I know I have. Is he still sick? If he's a puppy, I'd recommend you get him to a vet asap - as puppies can go down very quickly. As for diet, what are you currently feeding? And, what did you have in mind - kibble, canned, homecooked, raw? ![]()

| Since he's two years old, I would guess that it's a change in his routine and maybe his food. Have you made a change in his food? Yes, a vet is important. He needs to have a check up and vet you trust in case of emergency. You also need to see about vaccinations, heartworm medication, and flea and tick treatments. We love photos here!! Please post some when you get a chance! ![]() Welcome to YorkieTalk! ![]()

| Welcome. Is he acting normal? May be stress or food. I would have the vet check him out. Keep us posted.
