| kibble 4 healthier heart?? does anyone know of any dry food that is for promoting a healthy heart?? I have done searches here and other places and just am not getting a specific brand(s)' He is on CHICKENSOUP- PUPPY now, but really would prefer to eat all treats. he really is not crazy about any dog food, so far! I am guessing a lower sodium would be one requirement?? also any treats healthier for the heart?? Also I just got a sample of Artemis! he ate a little Any help would be great!

| I wouldn't be particularly worried about switching food unless your vet said to. I'm sure Science Diet makes one but I don't know the requirements of a diet for the heart. It would be worth asking your vet. Science Diet does have one. It is H/D. You could also use G/D.

| But let me add, if you don't have to use Science Diet or the vet says it will do no good, I wouldn't.

| The best way for the little one to have a healthy heart is exercising him regularly. |

| My Yorkie, Pete, not only has a heart valve problem but also skin problems. I cannot use any type of steroid creams, sprays, etc. for his scaly patches. I was told about Eagle Brand dog food (dry). They have various types for health issues. Pete' skin is cleared up and both he and his brother are doing great on the dry food with duck. Check out their website. |
