| Frontline for TOY yorkies Has anybody given Frontline to their toy yorkie? The vet suggested I use it on Deucy but, he is so sensitive to medications. He is an indoor baby who only goes out with me on a leash and never out long. He has no fleas or ticks as of now but, the season is here. I'm afraid to give it to him. ANYONE have experience with giving this to their TOY yorkie??? I won't give it to him until I hear back from others about any side effects. Thanks Brenda

| I use frontline on Milo he is 6lb 11oz but, whether you use frontiline or another source of flea protection you must protect your dog. Ticks carry lime disease, nothing you want to mess with also anyone can have fleas a flea disease from someone to someone without there knowledge and bring it into your home. There are a lot of people on the site that use holistic alternatives you might want to do a search on this site for natural flea medication. Here you go I just went to the Search and typed in natural flea this was the first that popped up but there were lots more. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=natural+flee Good Luck |

| THANK YOU! Good info to know. I will continue researching. YES...I know about Lyme disease and other health risk factors of ticks and fleas. I will absolutely use something for Deucy. But, I will not make him sick because of it. They are SO sensitive and I almost lost Deucy when he was a baby due to a VET error. Now, I don't even trust vets. Thanks again

| Wicket is the only dog out of our 5 dogs who does not get flea treatment, I do bath with a flea shampoo, but I have never seen a flea or tick on him, he is never left outside for long, I am hoping that having all the other dogs treated that he will not get fleas, Wicket is 4lbs. Jack Russell is 15lbs and rest are labs, and a great dane. |
