| Help... Is my female pregnant? Hello everyone, my female Penelope was in Heat about 2 weekes ago. We have a male who is not fixed and were very diligent about keeping them seperated during her heat. I was sure we had succeeded. Suddenly her tummy feels quite large and her nipples have a hard ring around them. I have never had a pregnant dog and I am not sure how to determine if she is or not. Can anyone please help? |

| too soon She would not likely show at this early time - my girls don't show any change in tummy size before at least 5 weeks or more from breeding - she may be having a false pregnancy or just after effects of being in heat . BUT the chance of something happening if you have a intact male would worry me sick if i didn't want her preggy . You need to figure out how to be 1000 % sure you have them seperated before she comes in again .

| Thanks so much! I even went to Petsmart today and inquired about Doggy pregnancy tests! I cannot believe they have not been invented yet. When do you think I may be able to tell? Thanks again so much for the help! |
