| Problem Chewer..need Your Help Please!!! Hi everyone, I love this site as I can get so much info on different things. My problem is that my 4 1/2lb furbaby named Murphy loves to chew! He loves his furry toys, but not anything rubber. I used to give him rawhide chips to chew on but my Vet's office said not to give him that. I gave him Nylabone things and he chews it so powerful I have to throw it away because I am afraid he will swallow the stuff, and I am not sure whats dangerous and whats not. Please ...could anyone suggest what I can give him thats safe. I dont know what to do now or what to get. I know your all have probably had this problem or knew someone who did maybe, and know more than I do about what to give a Yorkie baby to fill his time and help him chew. He is 1 yr old now. Do they ever grow out of the chewing stage? he only chews on whats his at the moment ) Thanks for any help you can give me Katharine

| well,, i think they are just all different,, just like our kids,, right now i'm dealing with puppy chomps on things here, but soon i hope that passes for the most part,, the 2 older girls (27 months and 18 months) are not a problem with chewing,, unless of course,, its like paper,, magazine, etc they can get ahold of when i'm gone,, good luck!

| thanks :o) well I am glad to see I am not alone with this. ) Murphy loves to chew, he only chews his toys, and my feet when he wants attention ...hahaha. I never had a problem giving him a rawhide and then while I was talking to the vets office to discuss some things, they ask what he was doing and i said plitely..oh he is chewing on his rawhide chip....then they told me not to ever give him that as it is bad for dogs especially tiny dogs. WHO KNEW? He looks lost without his favorite chew thing. I tried to give him Nylabone Edible bones but the first one i gave him he bit the end off in matter or seconds and it was a big peice so i took it away because I dont want him to choke ....glad I have only one baby for now. Thanks for the help ) ...

| Problem Chewer...need Help There is only "ONE" that Tricksie has not destroyed. She is 19 months old and has chewed up my house and probably $300 in toys. This Everlasting Treat Ball she has had for over a year, love it. We play fetch with it, put treats in it, keeps her busy.
