| Is this good for now? Hey guys i posted a couple of thread the other day because my Abby wud nooooooot eat anything!!! Absolutely nothing. I got an idea from someone to give her gerber chicken and she loves it. Thats basically the only thing she's going for right now cuz she doesn't like the kibble either. Is this ok for her to eat just this???? She basically ate like 2/3 of the bottle yesterday throughout the day. And also she likes these treats (chicken and oatmeal) so i try to give her as much as possible. At this point i am basically happy to be eating anything at all,but am i wrong for doing this????I'm a first timer so please dont be too cruel in ur responses Thanks in advance guys, u have helped me out alot. |

| Is this chicken flavored with anything (onion powder)? Have you tried canned food?

| It is okay then but this can only go on for a couple of weeks since it is far from balanced. The immediate need is to get her to eat though, so I would use it. Well, I would use it if boiled white meat chicken didn't work. Out of curiosity, have you been getting cruel responses?

| Jessi. It's a little time consuming but better then the jared food - would be a home made mix. It would help her get some nutrients. What I would do is boil chicken breast, carrots, and some brown rice. shred or chop it all up very fine - you could even put it through the blender, although mine prefer it to just be chopped. After, I soak the kibble (I use chicken soup for a puppy lover's soul - for small breeds) once the kibble is good and soaked (I soak it in chicken boulion - more water though because it's high in salt) anyway, once the kibble is good and soaked it should fall apart with your hands. I would then mix it in with the chicken, carrots and rice. If you mixed it and chopped it correctly it should come out just like canned dog food. The kibble will ensure she's getting what she needs and the chicken will give her the want to eat it. You can make enough for a few days and just refrigerate it and heat it as needed. Elaine |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so glad you found something for her to eat for now. The main thing right now is she is eating. Once she is a bit older you can change her to better foods. Just keep trting mixing things with the baby food.

| As Ellie May said, it's okay for now, but it's not balanced enough for long term. Does she like to play? A trick to get them to eat their kibble is to put it in a treat dispensing toy. It will bring out her natural prey instinct. My two favorites are the Busy Buddy Twist and Treat and the Buster Cube: http://www.busybuddytoys.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=2 http://www.bustercube.com/ |

| I just ordered the busybuddy. Shipping on the invoice says $11.95, but when I ordered it said that was for out of the U.S.

| The Twist and Treat is smaller so I'd go with that. |

I dont mean to gross anyone out but im just soooo happy of her progress. Another thing is that she is 11 weeks and hasnt bathed yet. Idk if i should ask the vet or wat. I mentioned in another thread that i think she has allergies. Cud this b the reason behind her scratching n biting her legs??? Thanks for ur support guys if it werent for u i'd b crazy by now. |
