Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | she's 10 weeks old right? at this age you just want them to eat so i'd get a few different wet foods and try them out. Even if its a terrible brand like mighty dog, you just want her to start eating. Wellness, solid gold, canidae, and evangers make very palatable wet foods. You can also try adding in some peanut butter, chicken broth, cheese, anything that she likes and is safe to entice her to eat. I'm sure you've tried a bunch of methods so far. Usually i'd say wait her out, but being that she's 10 weeks old you can't really do that. How much does she weigh? if she were older i'd tell you to just put her food down and leave it. Dogs will not starve themselves, they will eat when they become hungry enough.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | is she sickly besides the not eating? you may have to tube feed her or continue syringing it in. i know a lot of it falls out but some does go down. it just takes a long time for her to get enough food while syringing. i don't know what else to tell you.

| Does she eat treats? Maybe entice her by placing treats in the food or canned food... I agree take her to another vet because it doesn't seem like your vet is much help.

| harrison, thats wat my boyfriend said too. I shud take her to another vet. But its that they r so expensive.... I dont mind wasting the money on my baby but if im gonna pay hundreds of dollars so they tell me the same thing, im gonna get mad. This ? is a bit silly, but wat do u think about a pet psychic?? Maybe they can tell me why she dont eat and shakes alot. She also does this thing as if she struggles to breathe in. I happens like twice a day n she'll breathe in hard and her neck goes back n forth maybe like 5 times, n then shes fine. Im so lost |

| In addition to trying a different type of small or tiny breed puppy food........ you should get some nutrical. Nutrical will help keep the little ones strength up while it isn't eating correctly. You can buy Nutrical at a Pet Supplies store.... or ask your vet. (Nutrical is in a tube) Good Luck..... and Best Wishes!!

| When Tootsie would not eat, I put some cheerios in a bowl of water, and sat her on my lap, with the bowl, and I kept sort of spinning them around with my fingers, and pretended that I wanted them. She loved fishing around in the water for them and ate them. Not the healthiest, but at least she started to eat something, maybe it will work for you. Janice |

| Have you tried rubbing it on her gums? I've heard that that helps them absorb it more quickly, and it wouldn't really matter if she liked it or not.

| Try Gerber's Baby Food - Chicken Hi, My Little Thumbelina is almost 15 weeks old and I give her a little bit of Gerber's Baby Food - Chicken & Chicken Gravy. It is the tiny no. 2 jar and it only has chicken, water and cornstarch and no other ingredients. Also, for a treat I give her little pinches of the liver treats. I get it at Walmart. It is Hollywood Stars Liver Treats and comes in a little milk carton type box. I hope this will work for your little one. Thumbelina weighs two lbs. and has never had any problems with being sick or not wanting to eat, so I am hoping this will do the trick for you. |

| Please check this link out I would think she could have coccidia this can come out in a pup when it changes homes. I would try to get your vet to treat her ASAP with albon and see if this helps. I would have her stool checked but even if it didn't show as positive I would treat her also check for giardia. Your girl is failing to thrive you can loose her if you don't get her to start thriving. I don't intend this to scare you but you need a vet who understands toy breeds cannot go on like this she needs help. It is not normal for a pup to not eat, that is a sign of a problem, Try a different vet http://www.beaglesunlimited.com/beag...occidiosis.htm Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |
