| Addie is snorting at times We have Addie on a harness collar after we read all the threads about collapsed trachea with the normal collar. She has been on the harness most of her time with us. Recently she has started snorting, almost like she is going to throw up. Can anyone tell me if this is abnormal? Should I take her to the vet. I am one of those mothers with my own 4 children and get paranoid. Let me know if you have any experience or knowledge?? Thank you so much, Vickie (Addie's mom)

| Both my girls snort, honk, or backward sneeze. This is pretty common in small breed dogs. This is what my vet has told me anyway. We have had x-rays done and they check out okay.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Yeah, it could be a reverse sneeze. Search for that term here or Google it. You'll find it's considered harmless.

| If you have never had her checked out by the vet, I would probably do that just to be on the safe side, but it is very common in Yorkies. Wrigley does this when she gets real excited or nervous. Especially when we have been gone and first come home.

| The only time Addie does do it is when she has just been running around with the kids or we are playing outside. I will call my vet anyway. Thanks everyone. I love this forum that we can all help eachother (really I am new, so thanks for helping me!! )
