| Healthy rewarding treats Hello amigos, I would like to know what kind of treats you give to your Yorkies. I gave coco a tiny little bit of Provolone cheese yesterday, and she went crazy.... I tried training her for a little bit and then reward her but she was too excited for the cheese. Any suggestions? gracias Arriba Arriba!!! |

| i havent really used much "people" food to train pebbles. i buy really soft, tiny liver treats and petco cookies (they look like human cookies). I have to break both into really tiny pieces. Ive tried giving her cheese but she just spits it out. her favorite are the animal crackers from petco oh! once I gave her a piece of strawberry... haha it was so funny to watch her. she had no idea how to eat it. she just kept licking it. she took it from place to place all day and sucked on it like a lolly |

| Bentley loves carrots, pineapple, green apples, and strawberries to name a few. But his favorite treat is not so healthy: Ice Cream. I have to be extra careful when I'm getting ice cream at a drive thru because he will come out of his seat and do anything doggily possible to get it. He LOVES ice cream!!

I found a recipe I like, and it's good for them, fairly easy and Joey loves it. Just buy beef liver, you usually have to ask the butcher for it because it frozen in most stores. Walmart sell it frozen as well. It really cheap, about $1.00 a pound. Just boil the liver for about 25-30 to get the blood out. Cut in ¼ inch squares and place in 200-250 degree oven for about 2 hours until it's dehydrated. No salt, no fillers, nothing bad for them. I keep a months supply in the refrigerator and the rest frozen. If you are using lots of treats for training purposes, lots of people here have suggested regular Cheerios, the unsweetened kind would be the best choice.

| the frosty paws come in a box, and it has 4 little cups of doggie ice cream in it...I just give mine a few bites at a time..With the ice cream sandwiches for them, I break it in to 6 pieces for the 6 dogs, the only one that doesn't eat it, that is kind of picky, is the shepherd.. |
