| Getting him to eat other meats I feed my baby raw (Primal, Stella & Chewy's, NV, etc.) He will only eat the chicken. He loves all sorts of veggies but he doesn't care for any other meats. He's gotten pickier since he has been neutered (few weeks ago). It wasn't a smooth transition to raw. He liked chewing on kibble (Royal Canin). How do I get him to have some variety of meats in his diet? Would it be such a bad thing to just give him chicken? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It's not really bad,per se, but variety is good for them too - and helps in avoiding acquired allergies. Why not throw fish into the mix? SO easy to digest, easy to find, easy to cook - my dogs love it. I feed NV - mostly lamb. They adore their fish too, though.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Salmon is just great - we do white fish too (pollock, cod, sole, whiting, tilapia). I just preheat 425, put defrosted filets on baking sheet, sprinkle w/ seasoning, bake 13-15 minutes - put in tupperware, shred w/ fork - keeps for about 3-4 days in fridge. There are many who feed their fish raw too - but since I'm getting mine frozen at a regular grocery store, I just don't really know the source. You can feed the fish w/ NV or w/ potato or whatever else too.

| mine would only eat Lamb or Venison...well, they love their orijen six fish dry kibbles too..but they only get kibbles once a week or so. I give them all three brand NV, Primal and Stella&chewy and they always prefer lamb over anything else.
