| Yorkie Puppy Hair Question I have a yorkie puppy and she is 13 weeks old. I am curious when she will loose her puppy fuzz and get the more typical looking Yorkie hair. Also at about how old should she be when she gets her first hair cut? Thanks for your help!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Welcome and congrats!!! This is a great forum so I hope you look around! All puppies and their is so different, so it's hard to say really. Are you asking - when does their color break from black to silver/grey? It really can be anytime from 3 mths - 7 mths - just depends on the pup. As for her first cut, that's totally up to you!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have Roxie who is 22 weeks old and before i bathed her Sunday she was all puppy fluffy. So I gave her a bath and dried her and she looked like a little adult. Know I can't get her puppy fluff back!! I was amazed and I have other yorkies and I never saw it happen so fast. 1. Before (20 weeks old) 2 After 22 weeks old 3 After 22 weeks old 4 Before (20 weeks olf)

| Lucy got her first haircut at 4 months. I got her in the summer and it gets into the 100's here where I live so I wanted to keep her cool. The cut took away the puppy wave and fluffiness then and it never came back but she was/is a dream to comb. I love her coat now. Your baby is adorable

| Just keep her brushed each day and that will keep out all the puppy fuzz as they shed it for the new hair. I wouldn't cut her at all. I'd just trim around the feet, ears, bum, and let it grow nicely. Keep in mind that the long hair keeps them cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. |
