| Please reply to me ASAP!!!! Urgent!!! HI, I had Mochi spayed 3 days ago, everything was fine until 2 hours ago. She started peeing frequently - every 5 to 10 mins, each time is a little bit (more than dripping). I googled this and found a lot of different info. I need to know if you have the same situation and if so, what did you do? Should I take her to the emergency right now???? Please help. PS. I collected some of her urine just in case we decided to go to the emergency, how much is enough for testing?

| I have not had my little girl spayed. But I would call the emergency on call VET and inquire about this. It is better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully it is not anything major and just her body adjusting to her surgery. She might have been holding it for a while off and on because of possible pain or irritation. I am not an expert on this mabe someone will give you some advice or mabe has experienced this. But I would call the Vet just in case. |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Most likely she has probably picked up an infection or it could be just that she is hurting still from the spay. Is she on any antibiotics or pain meds?

| I wish I had a answer for you. It sounds like she could have a infection. Does your vet have a after hours call line? I hope someone has more answers and your baby feels better soon. |

| I just called the emergency. I told her the situation, and the person told me that if she doesn't look she is in pain, probably we can wait till Monday. I don't mean I don't trust her, but I want more opinion.

Give them a call. She may be having some discomfort from the spay and could possibly be getting an infection. When Lulu was spayed she didn't pee excessively after. The first day she was peeing buckets because of the after effects of the iv. But never peed like that. Honesty wait until monday and see your vet. She will be fine. After surgeries you will feel pressure I know I did when I had my tubes tied and they did it via laproscopy.

| Thanks to Remeos Mommy. I just called the number you gave me, they said it could be UTI. They suggested me to wait till Monday. So I think I will wait and see, if it becomes worse, eg. if she looks she is in pain or something, I will rush her to the emergency. I think I will have to stay up all night and get prepared to have her wake me up wanting to go to pee (like last night).

| The sacrifices we make as furbaby mommies. Hope you can catch some shut-eye. I'll keep my fingers crossed that Mochi's little dribbles just go along with the trauma (spaying) she's been through and not a UTI.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Can yorkies drink cranberry juice? That is the most natural and best treatment when we have one...so I am wondering if it would work with them.
