| How Many Times.... Does your baby poop? My Baby has had diahrea on and off for the two weeks I've had him. I've been in contact with the vet and will take a stool sample to him tomorrow. I am depressed with how difficult this is right now. I have never seen a dog poo so many times. Is this normal? I'm almost hoping for a parasite or something to explain why he's going so much. Thanks for any advice. Kathy

| Kathy- Thats not normal. It does sound like its probably a parasite. Has he been tested for coccidia? Is he acting lethargic?

| I would definitely take him to the vet. That does not sound right! I hope he gets better soon! Poor baby.

| Teddy is not acting lethargic at all. He's even still playful. Is eating and drinking although I have him on some baby food right now on advice from the vet. The vet has not seen a stool sample though...I'm hoping that will yield some answers tomorrow. I'm relieved to know I am not just impatient with him and that this is too many times. I don't scold him or anything...it's just been very frustrating and tiring.

| When Bunny was a puppy, she got diahrrea and I took her in the very next morning. You can't be too careful with these little ones bc they can become dehydrated so quickly and we can lose them! You are not being impatient at all! Make sure they do a full fecal, I think its called a float, bc some parasites won't show up unless they do this!

| Teddy ended up having a very good day today. Gave him some nutrical and pepto and he ate and drank well. Played well. His stools are still loose, but not like they were! He actually made it outside for all of his poos today! Four or five, still too many, but he made it outside. I'll let everyone know what the vet says tomorrow. Thanks so much for all the support. Kathy

| Hi Everyone, Back from the vet. Teddy does not have a parasite, but does have a gastrointestinal infection So we came home with an answer and medication and instructions to go back on the baby food for a couple of days. Hope this works! Kathy
