| Heartbeat Does anybody know how fast a dog's heart should be beating? I'm just curious because Franklin is asleep on my lap right now and I laid my hand on his chest for a second and his heart felt like it was going a million miles an hour! I tried to count and it was like 3-4 beats per second. Is that fast? It sounds fast to me, especially because he's sleeping. Shouldn't it be slower? He's been to the vet at least 5 times and they've never mentioned anything about his heart, so I wonder if I'm just being extra paranoid?

| http://www.ehow.com/how_3026_check-heart-rate.html Ellie's heartrate at the vet was 160 once but I took it when she laid on me awhile back and it was about 60. Depends on the dog...
